Great to see the kids yesterday and today. Students should learn the blessing before the Haftarah this week, on page 9 in the packet. They can listen and sing along or repeat using tracks 14 and 15 on this page and you can also find it below:
They should also review Torah trope (tracks 1-11). If it's helpful, they should start listening to the Haftarah trope (tracks 22-31), also on pages 3-6 in the packet. We'll work on these in class next time, starting with the first 3-5 groups (tracks 22-24 or 22-26)
A reminder that we ask the kids to take off from school on the first day of Shavuot, Wednesday, May 31, for our end-of-year Torah reading celebration. Please do what you can to arrange to be here at temple with them for the morning. The rabbi and I are happy to provide religious notes to the schools or talk to administrations if needed.
Great job to Leah, Naomi, and Kayla for reading Torah so beautifully last Saturday and great job in advance to Max, Benjamin, and Arianna who are reading this Saturday in junior congregation.
