This month we are continuing to talk about major events in every decade in Israel's history. This week we are talking about the third decade and major events such as Israel's winning the European basketball championship, foundation of Israel's television agency, Golda Meir and more.

Hey everyone! This week the kids continued their journey throughout Israel and this week's stop is Jerusalem! The kids learned about landmarks in the city, the history, culture and more.

Hey everyone.

This week the kids learned about another place in Israel which is the Negev desert. They learned a few facts about the place, about the people and the animals that live there and more. The kids learned about the euro-vision contest and they listened to the songs that Israel sent to the competition in recent years.

We finally had our first full week since I came back from Israel!

This week the kids started their own journey in Israel. They learned about Mount Carmel, where I am from, and they also learned about the differences between having a Passover in Israel and Passover in the US.

In this coming month, we are going to talk about the Israeli scouts, a huge part of a lot of Israeli kid's life. 

The kids, in order to get to the Israeli scouts feeling, are learning about the symbols and values and having fun experiences together.

Israel recently went through a change. We got new Israeli bills!

This week the kids learned about the 2 women in the bills, Leah Goldberg and Rachel (the poet).  Both had a major impact on Israeli society.

The kids learned about their lives and contributions to Israel.

In this week we are going to talk about Yitzhak Rabin's life. 

The younger kids will learn about the power of words and boundaries while the older kids will study about Yitzhak Rabin's life and the values he worked by.

In this week we will finish the Israeli childhood activities as a part of "Israeli childhood October".
During the month the kids learned about growing up in Israel. 
The kids learned about Israeli childhood games, childhood stories and experiences that most kids in Israel experienced and now they have better understanding of life in Israel.

Hey everyone!

This week the older kids (4-7 grade) discussed a really important subject, the Israeli solider Gilad Shalit. They learned about his life and about the effort of Israel in terms of taking care of their soldiers, the value of life, and the Israeli solidarity among the people of Israel.

The younger kids (K-3) theme this month is Israeli childhood. Throughout the entire course of the month the kids are going to understand what is it like to grow up in Israel. They will learn about Israeli songs, games and childhood stories that every Israeli kid know of.
